About Chiang Mai University (CMU)
Chiang Mai University (CMU) is the largest and most prestigious public university in Northern Thailand, founded in 1964 as the first public university outside Bangkok. The campus occupies a large section of the Suthep sub-district at the western edge of Nimman, extending up the foothills of Doi Suthep. CMU has approximately 37,000 students across 22 faculties.
