Chiang Mai International School (CMIS)

Chiang Mai International School (CMIS) was founded in 1954 by missionaries of the Church of Christ in Thailand and began with eight students. Today it teaches about 550 students from more than 22 nationalities, in English, with an American-based curriculum and Advanced Placement (AP) courses, and it has been accredited by WASC since 1987. The school honours its Christian heritage and welcomes families of every belief.

The campus is on Chetuphon Road in Wat Ket, on the east bank of the Ping River. The school has announced that it will move its whole community to a new campus in Nong Pa Khrang, east of the city, in 2027, which matters for families choosing where to rent or buy.

For 2026–27 the school lists annual tuition from ฿341,700 (preschool) to ฿580,200 (grades 9 to 12), plus a one-time enrolment fee of ฿100,000 for new students.
