Data sources
OpenStreetMap
Contains information from OpenStreetMap, which is made available here under the Open Database License (ODbL).
We use it for the points of interest shown on our maps and in the “what’s nearby” sections of listing and project pages — gyms, schools, coworking spaces, markets, hospitals and similar public places.
Machine-readable extract
ODbL §4.6 requires us to offer a copy of the derived database free of charge. Here it is:
chiangmai-property-osm-pois.geojson — GeoJSON, generated from the live database on request, so it is never out of date. Each feature carries its OSM type and ID, so every row can be traced back to the object it came from.
The extract contains only the OpenStreetMap-derived rows. It carries the attribution and licence in its own metadata, so the file stays correctly credited if it is passed on without this page.
What is not part of that database
Our property listings, our editorial texts, our own curated places, our photography and our code are not part of the OpenStreetMap-derived database and are not under ODbL (ODbL §4.5 b). They remain our own work and are not covered by the offer above.
Other sources
Thai administrative boundaries (provinces, districts, tambons) come from HDX COD-AB Thailand under CC BY 3.0 IGO, sourced from the Royal Thai Survey Department.
Map tiles, Street View imagery and place search are provided by Google Maps Platform and remain subject to Google’s terms; they are not redistributed here.
Open data licences
Part of our place data is being re-sourced from Overture Maps, which distributes the Foursquare OS Places dataset under the Apache License 2.0 and its own layers under CDLA-Permissive-2.0.
No Overture-derived row is served yet. These notices are published ahead of the first import, so the obligations below are already met when it runs.
